PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a pill developed to reduce the ability of an HIV negative person to contract HIV after being exposed to the virus. Despite lowering chances of contraction by over 95% the drug has been met with some hesitation from the LGBTQ community. as some hold skepticism towards it, however a majority hold a stigma towards users of the drug. This campaign aims to educate those who would not typically seek out education, it is carried out through guerilla sticker marketing and interactive social media applications.
The sticker application follows trends of placing Sean Cody logos on suggestive imagery and
imagery of multiple men together and use it’s ambush nature to promote PrEP education
and usage. The second application going with viral marketing will implement instagram and
snapchat filters to help normalize the usage of PrEP and attempt to cut back stigma towards
PrEP users, using the halo to depict them as angels over the “sexual deviants” they often get
seen as.
