In-Depth
The sub-brand “Suro-Men” was created to answer this problem. Suro-men being a combination of the katakana version of slow equaling “suro” and “men” meaning noodles in Japanese creates the fun to say name “Suro-Men”. This is paired with the tag line of slow-paced noodles. This takes into consideration the idea of slow-paced living that is meant to be communicated when eating the noodle. Suro-Men offers its customer a window into break time, an ability to let their hair down and relax as they take a break from their busy lives. Subsequently for the younger children market, the name is friendly and fun to say.
